I'm using a shared computer, and have installed fraps and a few other programs, which I don't want my parents to know - they regularly check control panel, so I intend to hide those in the control panel.

I also use CCleaner, and I know one can 'delete' a registry entry of a program, to hide it from control panel. But for some programs, I'm unable to delete programs as it says "Can't delete MSI installer". Can someone suggest a way for me to do this?

Thanks! A lot!

Nothing to see here ;)

Create your own user account, and install the program for you only?

Assuming his parents are the stereotypes of dominant parent in his country they won't let him, if they "regularly check control panel" than there's something wrong there..

I guess it's the culture.

Incorrect.

The solution is simple. Install your software. Go where it is installed, copy the folder that contains the program and put it somewhere hidden that you know, paste it there. and uninstall the software. Now, when you need it, go where you hidden the software and run the executable. It will works fine for any non-complex software, and software without a DRM system.

Games or software that needs to install other components related to block piracy of the game. Example Steam from Valve, installs a Windows service to monitor games you get from Steam for DRM purposes. you can't run the game that you got from Steam, without Steam.
