IDK if you SHOULD overclock. The cpu is fine in its own right... But if you do, id get a aio.

Hmm I see. So should I still get the cpu cooler? since I'm not going to overclock soon, should I get an aio cooler as like an upgrade? as well as those fans. so i'll just use the stock cooler that comes with it yes? and the 2 fans that are in the nzxt s340. then my upgrade should be the 2 fans, and the aio cooler

AIO is A LOT safer. The damn thing might get as high as 83c if you DO decide to overclock!!!

Speaking of overclock...

These games aren't that intensive anyway and might have marginal improvements. Hell even Crysis 3 runs fine at max with 2x-4x MSAA.

What would you recommend then? I made an AMD FX-8370 build with a Kraken x61, and a 970..

Seeing how this IS a meme (somewhat) now... GO INTEL!!!!

Seriously, you should. that AMD was high end 4-5 years ago but now is quite underpowered. If anything, its just a factory overclocked 8350. I'd stick with the i5 build as you get more bang for your buck.

AIO provides similar performance to a high-end air cooler. Unless your really pushing for every last clock (which you shouldn't do for 24/7 running anyway) then air is fine.. A CM 212 EVO will work, a better air or AIO will work better.. Just costs more.. The 212 (and a few others) are much better performance per $ though as they are decent but cost anything from 25% to 16% of the cost of the bigger guys.

For your budget I got you a skylake processor, a z based board, a faster GPO (not much but a little faster factory oc), a storage upgrade a psu bump and ddr4 based, NVME ready and so on system that will last a bit longer as a viable platform to upgrade on.

If you can affors a better cooler, I'm not saying don't get one but AIO has it's pitfalls too... Like if I still had my hypere 2121 or noctua, when something on them fails, they don't just stop working, unlike my H110.. stuck for 4 days without a pc.. I could have taken any case fan to fix an air cooler.

Swings and roundabouts though, different strokes and different folks..

Is there a better MicroATX case than that? I'm new to building and I think cable management is going to be a little bit hard if I don't have a guide.. plus I don't know if the drive bays can be removed. I made my own version of it.

Trust me more storage is always better. I went with a b85 in case you ever wanted to upgrade to 32gb of ram. I went over your budget a little but for a better computer im sure $20 will be fine. I picked out more ram, more watts on your psu, better cpu & gpu, Also more storage. I went with a ATX case because I prefer ATX over MATX and I love that case. If you prefer MATX go ahead and do a switch. New Build - http://pcpartpicker.com/p/4zzf6h / http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236627&cm_re=24%22_monitor_144hz-_-24-236-627-_-Product

Of course there are betters... this something to show you an option of what is available.. Look at your budget and go through reviews of things like cases or psu's and see if you can save money or find a better option.

I wouldn't go with that ssd personally, something a bit more standard.. like an evo or bx100/200 or similar..

But looks better than the first one for sure.

The ssd isn´t bad. Good for the price. But yeah, go with an evo or a bx100/200 if you can.

It´s not bad. Although, what other game besides csgo would you be putting on the ssd? Also, are you adement on the 970? Or is it more for the color scheme?
