Help with NET.FRAMEWORK 3.5 please

Hello there

i have windows 8 on this laptop and i wanted to install some stuff on it but i cant install some becouse it says i need framework 3.5 for it, so tried to install it.

pc told me i have an error , something like 800000000xfbdkghbsdjkgh or i dont even know .

googled the error , people said to enable something in group policy editor so i searched for it in my windows anddd i dont have it..ugh.

googled how to find it and such and a dude said on another forum that i can install it from google or something , did it all..and got the framework 3.5 error thingy again .

its just a dark circle of evilness

can someone PLEASE help me?

were you trying to install .Net Framwork 3.5 directly, like with an installer, or did you go to Control Panel > Programs and Features > Turn Windows Features On or Off > click checkbox for .Net Framework 3.5 and click OK or Next on each remaining window as appropriate?

Also, I think this is the wrong subforum for this topic, it isn't really networking.
