Hey guys, I'm looking to buy a new graphics card for my gaming rig. I dont play any very demanding games but want to buy something under $200. I don't care if it's AMD or Nvidia because I am NOT a fanboy! Thanks in advance!!!

R9 380 for 170$ would be around 15% faster than a 960 and a 380X for around 230$ would be 25% faster.

GTX 960 if you want power efficency and good drivers along with being user friendly

 

R9 380 if you are looking on getting 3-5 more fps but longer driver updates and losing some nice features.

if you have a pretty good intel CPU - go 380

 

If your processor is kind of crap go 960, IMO.

A 960 does not make a Celeron perform like an i5. A FX 4100 will bottleneck both. Simple as that. An Athlon 860K will be fine with both.

120W at LEAST. When you OC (and you HAVE to since a stock 960 is the same as a OCed 950 making the 960 utterly pointless) is round 150W. OCed 380 is 160W. 10W results in 13 cents yearly savings.

I'd definitely go for the R9 280,  they usually hover around the $150-$200 depending on the model. But I would go for the 4GB models for a better performance.

More like 130- 140 OCed and 380 is 190 OCed (i will provide a link when i find it) thats  mean its around 40w diffrence simple math 40w out of 190 is roughtly 20% more power eficency.

 

GTX 960 IS MORE power efficent.

I really don't want to push my psu but r9 380 should do it. In my region, its about $230-$240 and thats good for 4gb of VRAM. Don't go crazy though, I know vram isnt everything!!!

my point revolves around driver overhead, nothing more.
