I own a lenovo y50-70 UHD model. So it has; i7-4710hq, 16gb ram, new 500gb ssd, new intel 7260 wifi card and is running 64bit Windows 10. After installing my new wifi-card I noticed that a new intermittent fault started occurring, and that being the system would randomly turn off at times. In a sense the whole system would just go dead. I initially thought it could be a thermal issue but all the thermals are in check (never more than 70 degrees in stress test scenarios). And I also noticed that the keyboard would lock up for about 5 seconds before the system would shut off. However I would be able to use the mouse, and open other applications in this time. I have stress tested the system and sometimes its fine, sometimes it shuts off... I have had it randomly shut down multiple times within an hour, but sometimes its lasted for 7 hours with no issue. It is a super interment issue.

I have insured all my drivers on the system are up to date and have the latest bios (v 3.03). Any help with this issue would be appreciated.

try deleting the bluetooth and wifi drivers (uninstall) completely. I had a similar issue with my laptop when I was trying to update the drivers. turned out i derped and installed an older driver that conflicted with each other.

hook it up to ethernet and restart your laptop and let windows 10 reinstall the drivers.
