Motherboard problems

So i don't know how to start my motherboard (northbridge) is getting hot very fast i don't know why,my pc is running idle and the motherboard is 85 degrees or 185 fahrenheit,what should i do ? i tried putting new thermal paste nothing. Should i try direct cooling with an 80 mm fan or ?
P.S. while my motherboard is cool games does not lag

Motherboard: MSI 970A-G46

CPU:AMD PHENOM II X4 965 BLACK EDITION

GPU:Nvidia GTX 560 Asus direct cu 2 1 gb
RAM: CORSAIR VENGEANCE 8 GB RAM DUAL CHANNEL

PSU:OCZ MODXSTREAM 600W SEMI MODULAR

HDD:SEAGATE BARRACUDA 500GB 

CPU COOLER: ARCTIC X FREEZE EXTREME WITH AN 120 mm fan

FANS: 1 120 MM on the top

1 on 120 mm front

1 80 mm on the back
