I enjoy computers and their hardware and I want to work with them more and I want to repair/build pc's on the hardware side of things but I don't have enough money to buy computer parts any suggestions?

I have an Anet A8 as my project printer and a i3 MK3 for when I want things to work.

I extrude my own filament and haven't saved a penny yet.

My PC:

Mowing lawns? Grocery store? Waiter? Pizza delivery driver? Dunno what you want me to say, there's plenty of unskilled, part time jobs out there.

Nvm thanks for your time.

Start with your Comptia A+ certification. If you don't want to go to school, you're going to need some credibility.

You will likely have to intern somewhere first. You are not going to just walk into a job as a HelpDesk Tech or Sys Admin with no experience or certifications.

'IT' is a very broad spectrum. And you wont find a job that pays working just with hardware. Whether its networking, data base administration, security, or something. Find something to focus on. You can try getting by with the whole small business computer repair gig. But its a dying field and very hard to remain competitive.

See if you can find a meetup group or something to meet people locally in the industry. Knowing people is half the battle. The only reason I got my current job is by doing side jobs for the IT Director for a couple years before I actually got an official job.

I worked in retail for several years before I got into IT. It wasnt until a year or so of side jobs and after earning my A+ and Network+ that I got a full time job in IT. Best of luck to you.
