The one gripe I have is that PSU. I'd look to upgrading that to a SeaSonic/XFX one soon.

Yeah should be better than getting an i5. Get the R9 380, your PSU won't handle overclocking well though.

in what way, i'm thinking of saving up for a fully modular one

Just a low tier PSU which isn't suitable/reliable enough for a rig like this. It'll hold out 'okay' for a bit but I'd look to upgrading it ASAP.

What do you mean by "isn't suitable/reliable", could I cause any damage to my pc?

It could fail and damage other components of your rig. Worst case scenario. I still wouldn't risk it.

people on this forum always complain about psu's. even though it can run for many years in a rig they always say that it's not good enough. just don't mention what psu you're using on this forum

Still doesn't matter. Just because it worked for you doesn't mean it'll work for others.

You wanna know why we recommend better PSUs? Because cheap (and also often unreliable) PSUs always present a bigger likelihood of failing and damaging other parts of your PC. And I'd like others to avoid that same situation by not cheaping out on a PSU.

il replace it asap, can I still get my 380 first? I should I forget it and get a new psu first

No, it's fine for now. Just replace the PSU soon and you should be fine :)

the thing I've found is that people ALWAYS say that I need to get a better psu even though I say I've got a gold psu or something overkill. so yea, I will always tell people to just not mention the model of their psu.

There will be people who are absolutely anal on PSUs. Maybe the NEXG1 is an exception but it isn't the worst, there are just better PSUs for its price.

I'm just pointing out the people who like to put cheap PSUs in gaming builds. Doesn't apply to everyone, just them really.
