HyperX Cloud II Mic

So I just go the cloud II currently using the USB connection. Headset works fine but the mic is weird. Windows detects mic but it just doesn't pick up any sound. Anyone help?

right click on the little sound icon on the right of your takbar and select recording devices, then see if it turns green when you talk into it, also if the cord or headset has a mut switch anywhere on it make sure it is toggled off.
