Gaming/Typing Keyboard

Hi, I want to get a new keyboard but have been very confused about what to get. Right now I am saving up for the Corsair K70 only because Linus said it was really good. But unlike other people, I'm not a huge gamer. I have to do a lot of typing for homework as well as for coding. I would also like a couple shortcut keys (at least 5). Can anyone recomend a keyboard that is good for gaming yet also at least equally good for typing for long periods of time? Also, is there a specific switch I should look for? Thanks!

Corsair K70 is good, I have it. I don't care how much gaming you do, go for the MX browns.

I'd would say go with the K70. What kind of switch do you want? This video does a good job explaining:

There are some really in-depth posts describing the different key switches. But as a rule jus stick with MX switches. POST:
