Sennheiser 363D vs Logitech G933

ClownFace1511

Hey Guys,

There is about a $25 difference between the two headsets. From the reviews I have seen the mic is better on the 363D than the G933 but that's not a huge issue for me seeming as I can always use my AudioTechnica 2020+ if I have to. I like the G933 seeming as its wireless because at the moment the wire on my G430 annoys me. The headset will be used for gaming and must me comfortable to use for a fair few hours at a time.

Some opinions would be great.

If you already have a mic why not save yourself some money, or get better quality all together, and just get headphones rather than a headset?

Its just easier to plug in the headset and start using it straight away. If i wanna use my mic it takes too much effort.

I would get sennheiser without even thinking about it but that is just my personal preference.

Cant really get a valid argument in since they are both really good headsets.

I've been using a G930, the 933's predecessor, for almost 2 years.  Once you get used to the convenience of a wireless headset, you won't want to go back.  Right now I'm on my 7th or 8th RMA cycle (that would be a mix of heavy user, crappy plastic frame, and factory defects) for the G930.  At the very least I can tell you Logitech's warranty is tried and true (just very slow because UPS Ground both ways and sometimes it takes them a long time to get back you).

I am also expecting the G933 to arrive in 2 days but in the mean time I'm using my backup AKG K7xx with the wire constantly getting caught under my computer chair wheel.

EDIT: I'd also like to add that I mainly use a blue yeti mic, but when I want to chat and walk around my house, I switch to the wireless mic and it feels great to have that convenience.

I heard there was huge issues with the 930 but apparently the 933 is better. The wireless function is seriously a big thing for me.

I'm not sure if this will apply to you since it says you're in Australia, but you can get the G933 on Jet.com for $30 off (15%) with their "first time buyer" coupon.

Probably not. Shipping will ruin that 15%. I can pick up a pair for $245 in Australia. The place is down the road for me.

It was worth a shot.  The last bit of info I can part with is that, I tried wearing the display G633 at Best Buy today.  It was so comfy and very light (although I imagine the wireless one would be a bit heavier with the battery).  Extremely excited for mine!

The Sennheiser is without a doubt the better of the 2, there is no comparison. The ONLY reason to get the 933 is due to wireless, but I would like to point out that Logitech is well known for various issues with their wireless sets, including issues with battery life, etc.

But, if you want to know which is the best for audio quality, the Sennheiser is in a league of it's own in comparison. Though I would look at the Sennheiser G4ME One if it's cheaper at all, as it does not include a usb dongle, of which the Sennheiser's dongle isn't very good unless you absolutely NEED USB due to failed audio ports on your motherboard.
