[Solved] IPv6 Will NOT Install

Edpotts

Hello, all. I really need this issue quickly resolved as I use my computer for work. Here's the link to my original post:

I've tried everything:  Uninstalling & reinstalling ipv6 (blocked by group policy), manually deleting the registry keys & reinstalling via properties (blocked by group policy), and I've even tried disabling group policy, which changed absolutely nothing!

I would really appreciate some help right now. :_(

Does your ISP even have IPv6? I know my ISP used to give me a IPv6 address but they stopped for some reason and now IPv^ has no connection for me.

Do you have admin privileges?

Then why not just edit the group policy to allow IPv6?

I know you said you tried group policies, but can you be more specific? Have you tried this?  It is to disable IPv6 but should work backwards.

Another messy fix would be to create a new user for the PC. That should have default policy and conditions. Just be sure to give the user Admin rights.

Seeing as you have GP on the system, makes me think it might be part of a domain. have you tried talking with your it department? You'd be surprised at how many shops disable IPv6 because they don't understand it.

I'm not on a workgroup or homegroup. Could my issue be from running on Win10 home?

Apparently my ISP doesn't provide ipv6. NVM, all, problem fixed. You can look at the original post if you're curious.
