People are saying this PSU is bad, why is that?

Bad capacitors, lowquality

Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Turbo 3.5GHz | 8GB Kingston DDR3-1333 | MSI Radeon R7 370 OC to 1020mhz | EVGA Supernova NEX B1 750W | GIGABYTE GA-B85-D3H | Inwin Velocity OEM Case | 120mm broken fan

It's not bad, it's budget.

Any build that requires 750W shouldn't be skimping on power supply.

The CX series will fail you if you put it into a nice high end build.

Don't skimp on PSUs

Bad capacitors, also you could get a much better PSU for $120

Basically it's a budget PSU for budget systems, and generally, in that usage, there's nothing wrong with it (the CX line).  But, for some reason they make a 750W version, and I can't conceive of any PC that can draw 750 W but that still qualifies as "budget", so I'm not sure why the CX750 exists...

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

They are good for low power consumption pcs not high power gaming pcs. they are known to have alot of problems with coil whine which does not kill your psu but is a very high pitched annoying sound.

You'll probably fine if it's in a budget build, like intended.

That being said, in a year or three when you decide it's time for major upgrades, find the extra cash for a PSU as well as other things
