$450 HTPC

FriedRyce

My mom has been asking me lately for a PC to watch PPVs and such, then she could hook it up to the TV and watch her stuff.

Right now, I have a setup based on the Intel Pentium G3258, and this is still a rough list, so I would appreciate tips and or recommendations.

Yes, I know the RAM is 2400, and it won't run at that speed, but at that price, I just decided to go for it. And I could probably omit the CPU cooler, since I'm not gonna be OC'ing the chip.

Now before people rage about the CX power supply, this is an ok case for it as it is not a gaming rig under high loads, maxing out the wattage.

The most gaming my mom will probably do is play her stupid Facebook games, haha.

If and when I build this little project, I will definitely think about upgrading parts on it. I reckon I could go with a GTX 950 first thing, so I could do light gaming (Dota 2, LoL etc etc) on it when I'm not on my main rig.
