Found a working roadside system with compatable CPU's but after some research i dont really have a clear answer as to which one is really a better CPU.

 

Currently have a Core2 E6600 (2.4Ghtz)

Found the PC with a Pentium D 950 (3.4Ghtz)

 

only thing that i have found is that E6600 is better in multithreaded tasks where the Pentium D 950 is better for single threaded tasks.

 

Any advice?

 

I really only use this machine in question to encode some DVD's to x265 and some web browsing while gaming.
