Hi!

So I have an issue where I can't get any bigger resolutions than 1360x768. The desktop PC that I'm working in with is a Radeon 3000. I was able to get over 1080p on my laptop and it only has an Intel Express 4 Mobile Chipset.

However I was honestly only able to get this resolution using a small trick: I have to plug in the monitor while it's off. If I plug it in while it's on I can't get the higher resolution.

Is this just the limit of VGA connections? Is there anyway that I can force a higher resolution? Or am I screwed until I get a GPU with HDMI, or just a DVI cord?
