Error 255 on clockwork mod

I am trying to flash a gapps package (attached file) onto a Ainol Novo 7 Paladin running ICS 4.0.3 using clockwork recovery, however it keeps aborting the installation and giving me status 255. So I tried this solution (unless you speak spanish you will need a way to translate the page). Now it just aborts the install without giving me a status. How can I get this gapps package to install, or is there another gapps package that will work? There is apparently another solution here that worked for some people but I have no idea what they're talking about.

Got an Android, never going back to apple again (notice I spelled apple with a lowercase and Android with an uppercase)
