My cards are dripping in usage when using antialiasing I no there's a fps drop because it's more taxing but my cards drop down to 80 percent usage for some reason when I crank up the aa

anyone no why or how to solve this ?

More is it just the new nvdia drivers

games Iv noticed it in as new tomb raider and battlefront and farcry 4

card usage drops and so do temps which is so wired because I thought the aa would make the cards work harder

AMD (and proud) r7 1700 4ghz-

also (1600)

asus rog crosshairs vi hero x370-

MSI 980ti G6 1506mhz slix2 -

I had a ton of problems with my 980Ti SLI using Windows 10 - I really couldn't find out why, I'd get driver crashes all the time.

The exact same rig (and I do mean exact) but with W8.1 (both clean installs) - and it'll spas out on me maybe once a month - which I consider acceptable.

tldr: I don't know what's going on with your gear but if you're sure it's not CPU-necked, thermal throttling or some power related issue, then it'll be the software doing it. I know stunning Sherlock skills right?

I don't have any of those games but try something like The Witcher 3 which is known to be graphically taxing but stable (maturity) to see if it cranks up the gpu usage with higher AA.

Yeah, but are those other games gpu dependent? Usage in games vary, so some games could cap out and others might not. What res.?

1440p it's wired because fxaa I get 99 percent usage in both cards add more aa and card usage drops to 80s and temps go down so wired

Cheers man I get loads of crashes too with Windows ten, not CPU bottle neck running a 4.7 ghz 4790k

not thermal throttling because both cards run in the 60,s

i really think it's drivers or maby g sync
