i would like to know how to install windows on a bootable usb drive from a mac

download a windows ISO file from microsoft

you just need a iso file. then you can burn it on a cd/use bootcamp/disk utility to make  bootable usb drive

already did that then copied it to a usb drive and then plunged into pc but i dont know how to get it to boot up from the BIOS menu

can't seem to make it a bootable flash drive

are you using it on a pc or  mac?

well use bootcamp then. if you dont know how to install windows then you wont know how to fix all the missing drivers from your mac in windows too. bootcamp will guide you trough all of this. just look for bootcamp in your spotlight and follow the instructions
