My second major build! Do I need to change anything?

I've built my first custom setup about 6 years ago, and I think it's time for a new setup. Although there are few parts that I can still use, but I may give my old PC to a friend or keep it for other family members.

My main reason for this new setup is gaming, but I would definitely do some video editing every once in a while.

I live in Israel, so prices are a bit expensive. But in terms of US$, my budget is around 5150$ (max)

the following items that I'm planning to use would cost me 3245 US$

Intel Core i7 6700K 4.0Ghz 8MB Cache

Corsai Hydro H110i GTX Extreme Performance

Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 7 LGA1151

G.skill Value 4x8GB DDR4 2400Mhz CL15 Kit

MSI GTX980 Ti GAMING 6GB

Western Digital Caviar Black WD300FZEX 3 TB Sata III

Intel 535 series SSDSC2BW240H601 240GB SSD Sata III

Corsai 650W Active PFC Modular 80+ Gold CS650M PSU

NOCTUA NF-A14 industrialPPC-3000 PWM 140mm Fan (x4)

Roccat Isku FX Gaming Keyboard

Roccat Tyon 8200DPI Gaming Mouse

Microsoft Windows 10 Professional 64Bit Retail

Do I need to modify anything here and there? And what is the best gaming monitor I should buy? I also left some room in my budget for decent headset and sound system, so you can throw me an advice in regard to those two as well :)

Thanks in advance,

What is the difference if I may ask?

The PSU is one of the most important parts of a computer, if you have a low rated PSU and a high end computer, what happens won't be nice!

Thanks for advice, but here you practically changed eveything in the original  setup! Do I really need two graphics cards? and how is the Caviar Green better the the Caviar Black? I mean, I know the general uses of each, but would the Green serve me better?

I've changed everything for the better! First, you wouldn't notice a difference between the Caviar Green and the Black.

Changed the CPU to the Haswell-E based i7 5820k. It offers more cores, which would serve useful in video editing, and future games. For your budget, I also found space to add not one but two GTX 980 Ti's! You will use SLI, making your framerates be 80% higher (or more) with games supporting it.

Changed the PSU to a more high-end/reliable one.

Found a very nice 144hz 1440p monitor (with g-sync).

250GB SSD for the boot drive.

And, that's basically it. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

EDIT: Also, changed the keyboard and mouse to my personal preference. :P

Also, didn't see that you wanted a headset and a sound system. As for the headset, I would highly recommend the Sennheiser PC363D (I have them, and I love them. 7.1 surround sound, has a own sound card, microphone, etc). But, as for the sound system, I wouldn't know.

Thank you very much, I really appreciate you effort :] I will check the headset out once i finish watching a video review about the Dell monitor you mentioned (which I watched a while back lol, but it won't hurt to refresh my memory)

I'm very satisfied with the monitor and the headset :]

I think I can live with the Corsair keyboard lol and I was actually looking for that Logitech mouse, so that's another +

But, I will stick with a Gigabyte motherboard (one that supports the CPU of course) and I won't be needing the Case (well so far the plan is to build a custom desk)

and I still have two question (for now lol I hope that's ok)

1. are 16GB RAM enough for video editing?

2. (a bit off topic) do you think it's better to wait for nVidia's Pascal GPUs? (I survived more than a year without gaming lol)

1. 16GB RAM is enough, but now thinking it twice, maybe you should get 4x8GB (32GB) so you also get that quad-channel memory (much faster)

2. It wouldn't hurt if you can hold back gaming :]

I think you have answered everything. I guess I can mark this discussion as solved, but I'm interested to see if anybody else has anything else to say.

Again, thank you very much and I appreciate your help.
