I'm aware it's FreeSynch, just wondering if I can use this with a Nvidia Card in 144hz?

Yes. It can be used for 144hz with an Nvidia card. You just won't get the free sync feature.

Nah. I actually really like the acer panels. I have a 25 in. 1440p acer panel myself. The bezels are super small. The colors are gorgeous and 1440p does offer the superior experience. I say go for it!

I have that very monitor, it's brilliant. No defects on mine what so ever.

It's within margin of error of the BenQ XL2730Z in terms of panel performance for a lot less money. But it doesn't have the best stand, and no VESA mounting option. But I wouldn't pay more than €150 extra just for a better stand.
