Minecraft Server Help

Go to solution Solved by KingKeith55,

There's no such thing as him being too far away to join your server. It must be a problem with portforwarding. I would recommend looking up some tutorials on how to make a minecraft server. While it is possible for him to have some lag due to latency (ping), unless you have your max ping set to something too low (eg. 80) then there's no reason he shouldn't be able to join unless it's another problem on your side.

I live in Wisconsin and i have a friend who lives in Idaho I am hosting a port forwarding server from my desktop and they cant connect because of distance can I somehow extend the range of the server?

(yes they have adequate internet both of us have 60mbps internet)

I have an Anet A8 as my project printer and a i3 MK3 for when I want things to work.

I extrude my own filament and haven't saved a penny yet.
