Can I ask what country you are in?

And can we assume this is for gaming?

Well, with an i7, GTX 1080, Full tower and flashy lights, it can obviously only be for one thing:

Solitaire.

1000 Watts???

3TB HDD???

I5 for 4k???

hybrid GPUs... eh, it is the default PCB

Also, those are american prices, they will not work in Slovakia

-what's wrong with PCI-E SSDs ?!

-this system draws around 700W, nothing wrong with a bit of headroom

-What's wrong with 3TB

-Hummm, can't see you point

-Yes hybrid GPU, MUCH MUCH higher boost clocks out the already beastly 980Ti

-I know, his budget is around $2600, a simple conversion

1. Nothing, just was amusing in this build, especially with M.2 being much cheaper.

2. true enough, but not necessary

3. Nothing, but again, not necessary here

4. The I5 will struggle with AAA titles at 4k

5. Hybrid GPUs are good, but that one specifically uses the base PCB, the 980ti Sea Hawk from MSI will be much better

6. right, but prices are very different in Europe because of import taxes.

A 980ti goes for 700 euros base price in germany (1 euro is 1.08 USD)

- i wanted to suggest M.2 but than though let's go big, besides, PCI-E SSDs are slightly faster

- i wanted to go for an 850W but than again, headroom is always good when ever possible

- you never know

- i don't see why ?? modern titles are becoming less and less CPU demanding

- i'll admit, i didn't know it used the reference PCB, so yeah, a sea hawk or a water force would be better

- i know witch why i deducted about $100  from the budget (ish :P )

M.2 has a much better price/GB ratio and great performance.

Fallout 4 and newer titles are getting MORE CPU demanding.

The difference is a lot more than $100 USD, that difference will cover 1 980ti alone.

1. true

2. I have found myself more and more CPU bound, even with my 4690k @ 4.5

3. Yeah, you gotta be careful about this kinda thing with every other country. US has the best prices by far.

i know, but the thing is, it's just a couple of titles out there that are heavy CPU workloads, and Fallout is the only one of em that actually counts, so to go down a completely different more expensive root for one title is not ... well you get it (i posted another build, sniped the old one)

No need to get 32GB. 16GB is more than enough for gaming and multitasking.

Be nice to each other boys and girls. And don't cheap out on a power supply.
