Post Partitioning

First off, Hello LTT Community!! This is my first original post here. I would like to know if I must (read: required) or if I should split up a post in to the various categories here rather than in a single post. I would be posting to the New Builds and Planning section as I have an idea, which I need advice with and it would be quite a bit of a road map.

 

Just to give you a sense of what I'm asking I'll give a brief. I'm using a very old system and want (need) to upgrade. This upgrade will cover a new system, custom items, furniture, audio and video equipment, software, etc. From my point of view it would be easier for it to all be in one place as it would allow the formation of a road map, which would be hard otherwise.
