Was playing a game called The Witness, in one place for some reason I would have crackling noise so I thought it's part of the game so I watched a gameplay video and in the video there is no crackling noise so I was kinda worried.

Also I sometimes use an editing software called 'Hitfilm 3 Express' and whenever I would change something to a video, it would lag a lot, it would be so choppy that I could barely move the mouse (only happens for like 30 seconds) and when I would watch a video I made while it is happening, it would make a lot of crackling noise but after couple seconds it would go normal but if I would change something again then it happens again, help please.

Hello!

Please consult the Audio Interference Troubleshooting Guide. Post your progress and any questions here.

the crackling sound happens really rarely. It happened in a game where the background noise was very humming so it started to crackle. but dont know why Hitfilm 3 express was so laggy and crackling a lot.
also that troubleshooting guide for me made no sense on what im supposed to do. Don't know what any of that means :/

Just try the steps under "Diagnostic Steps" in order. Either pick the ones that seem most likely if you have an idea, otherwise it is process of elimination. These kinds of problems can be very tedious to track down. If you don't know how to do one of the steps, ask here or in the appropriate sub forum.
