Windows goofed up my username

I lost everything and had to reinstall. I'm 99% sure I put in my name correctly but my user file for example should be named "whitephoenix" but is named "white", wtf windows? I have my folder with my real name but you all don't need to know that. Can I change it or is it sticking? It says C:\Users\white in cmd.

Yup, it takes the first 5 letters

I have no idea.  I figure they just wanted to increase the potential for issues, like two users with the same first 5 letters.  There are only 26 letters in the alphabet, but we still used drive letters...
