So my little brother's pc is having these red lines which run vertically through the screen and i figured it
might be the graphic's card which is an XFX HD7970 AMD. I did manage to get rid of the red lines by
reinstalling the drivers and even using older versions than the latest drivers and then after a few days
of gaming it came back.... so then I switched out my graphics card with my little brother's one and ran
it in my own pc which worked perfectly fine... after i put it back in his pc it starting working again like it used to
but then again after a week or so it's happening again :S so i am actually hoping you guys could give me
an explanation for why this is happening :) ( sorry if my english isn't easy to read )

Specs brothers pc

Windows 10
CPU = AMD FX-8350 Clocked 4,0 ghz
GPU = AMD XFX HD7970
PSU = OCZ ZX 850W

Sorry it's not complete i am not at home right now and i don't know all the
specs.

You might want to run a full driver uninstall for your GPU. Even uninstalling a GPU driver doesnt really completely uninstall it. There are programs out there to assist you with this. Also might not be a bad idea, if that fails, to do a format on the PC and reinstall everything to see if that fixes it.

Oh and team RED really wants you to remember it exists. Red lines LOL

Ok so i used DDU to do a fresh install for the gpu and it worked but after a half an hour the screen turned all white and even a second time now i am writing this, with a black screen. I'll try a fresh install of windows like you suggested

Yeah that's what I was thinking too but is there a way to be sure other than the red lines to see if it's just that or something
else ?

I can only say try different drivers, go back to a very old driver version on a clean install of Windows.

If that doesn't do anything, the GPU has probably had it's best days.
