Need Help Picking a CPU

This Saturday ill be getting a CPU for my new desktop.  Im wondering what CPU i should get.  the I5 6600k or the I7 6700k. Ill be doing mostly gaming on it and (i will have an asus GTX 970 Strix),  and some cad using solid works and Catia i will over clock it in the very near future im doing parts at a time and i just cant really decide which CPU i want.. the price difference right now at the micro center near me is like $120.

An i5 should be fine in that case.

An skylake i5 should be enough for your needs. Although I think Skylake isn't mature enough just yet to justify to replace haswelll. Personally I would have picked up a Haswelll based CPU but if you're going for a Skylake , Well then I can't do nothing but to respect your choice. And is this your first build ? 

I'm guessing not sense you OP:ed for a closed water loop.

it will be my second build but i help build servers for my friends business.  Im switching from AMD
