Hey guys, (Wasn't quite sure what to put title as)

I know this may be a weird or funny thing to ask..but I'm having trouble using an application while within a game. I have a program that I use that is basically a sound board. Those sounds, are binded to certain keys. Specifically my unused numpad keys. Works great on the desktop. Though whenever I start up a game, those keys I press, no longer work. Nothing happens when I click them. I even made sure they aren't bound to  anything in the game, just in case. It seems as though as soon as I click out of the sound board program, I can't get it to work in the game.

If I click around the desktop, or open my browser, etc..it works. Just when in a game is giving me issues. Can anybody think of what the issue could be here?

Thanks..and I know, it's not a big deal, but I'd appreciate it if anybody can help! :)

Thanks for the recommendation. I tried that, still didnt work. I had to alt tab out of the game and then hit the hot key to get it to work. When I went back in the game as the sound is playing, it could not be heard in the chat.

I've definitely done it before in another game a while ago, so  I'm not quite sure what the deal is now.

try a program called Glove Pie. (official site is glovepie.org) Its an input emulator that (as far as ive seen) works in every game. it can do hotKeys/macros and all those other things.

The website might look a bit sketchy, (i think its in the middle of a re-write) but ive been using it for over a year and i've loved it. As of sometime in 2012, the latest version is 0.45.

EDIT: a quick look on the website shows that, for some reason, version 0.40 is the only one that has a DL link.

Thanks for the tip! Though sadly it did not work in-game still. I'll try to keep messing around with it though, unless I get another recommendation too!

Thanks so far everyone for trying to help!
