I am going to need to update the bios for my Asus z170-a motherboard and I'm not sure how to do so. The links are here http://www.asus.com/ca-en/Motherboards/Z170-A/HelpDesk_Download/ for all the software, but do I need to individualy download each and every one, or is there a faster way to update them all at once?

The latest version contains everything the previous revisions contain+the new stuff. In order to update your BIOS, you need to download a version, and extract it. Stick it on a USB flash drive, stick it in the appropriate port(USB BIOS Flashback port), and go into the BIOS to have it updated. Make sure the BIOS file is stored in Root. Folders are not allowed.

I understand that, but do I need to do so for all of these 50 updates or can I just do it in one big swoop.

You only need the latest version. That contains all previous changes as well. Kind of like downloading a program. The latest version is all you need.

On the asus site there isnt a specific version, just a whole bunch of individual updates for different things ranging from 10mb to 500mb

The BIOSes are under the BIOS section of the Downloads once you pick an OS.
