i purchased a NZXT phantom 410 recently and when i went to get the standoffs out of the accessory box the bog labeled standoffs hand 8 standoffs i have looked the other bags and i cant find the last standoff so im assuming they forgot to include it. So what should i do mount my mother board with only 8 standoffs ( if so which standoff hold down should i not use)?

Assuming you're using an ATX board; i would lose one of the corners - my preference would be bottom right. You don't want to compromise strength around the CPU, GPU, power connectors, RAM etc as that's where more stress will be. What board are you using?

I was thinking the same thing. Do u happen to know if i were to contact there support if they would send me a standoff?

Most likely they will - no harm in trying. :)

You could always buy a bag of standoffs from your local computer store if all else fails. Without one standoff, I think you'd be fine though. I'd just place the standoffs around the perimeter of the board. I have to admit though I would be a bit unhappy if I was shortchanged on this buying a brand new case.

I would buy a set of standoffs from Maplins (or similar[in the region of £2.99 for 50]). Use all stand offs from the same set, as, although they are all meant to be standardised, there may well be slight differences between manufacturers. I wouldn't leave a hole without a stand off . You may well get away with missing one out but to be on the safe side I would use the full compliment.

At that price I really wouldn't bother with the wait etc getting A replacement from the manufacturer, unless you wanted to make a point.

Or lived in the 'sticks' and were unable to get to a computer/electronics store.

For our transpondian chums that works out about 10C a standoff.
