Just another day just came back, time to relax, turns computer back from sleep and uses it

Suddenly system froze and so I did a force shutdown and after that no post.

Things I did

  • Reset CMOS
  • Moved the CMOS jumper (put it back to original position now)
  • Tried booting with GPU removed, system posts but system freezes when in windows after welcome (Ctrl+alt+del/windows icon button not responding)

I am utterly lost, can somebody tell me whats happening and how can I solve this?

Run a memtest, and check drive smart data as a starting point.

But I can't  seem to get the system to operate as it freezes when inside windows

Test is running but I really hope it's not the GPU as I would need to ship it back and have them test (This process might take a month or 2...)

But I am confused to why it won't run windows normally without the GPU and why does it freeze

not sure but I thought a memory test was a good place to start as it has issues without the gpu as well.

bad this looks bad. I mean it's probably memory, but motherboard can be a problem as well (dead slots, ect)

Try the sticks one at a time until you get a stick that passes, try it with that. If every stick fails, try different slots.

Your MB (or the pcie slot) could even be broken, you can test if the problem appear if you take another PCIe slot for your GPU, after you finished with your memory testing

I will try it

I initially tried to try it but since the 8x slot is at the bottom, things are getting in the way,I might need to move things and re try to get it in there

I will wait for the test to complete and take a picture and try the long ram stick debugging one by one (I was gonna complain about it being a long laborious process but glad it's not the GPU)

This is the latest picture, it seem to reset and start over

Can you tell me where are you looking at to know the issue is present with the ram?

yah test each. If none of them work (not likely like 4 sticks break at the same time) move to testing sticks in different slots.

strange I can't get the error to show up again, even while placing it back

Edit

I put everything back just to check if along with the error being gone,is it booting now and it is (With GPU)

How am I going to nail it down now, symtoms are wonky as ever, though I am glad it fixed itself

Any idea what is going on,did the reseating of the ram do something?

Double edit

Back to square one with the freezing issue persisting and I am able to login in safe mode

The worst case would be if even the GPU is broken in some way, but if anything is fucking up on the PC, testing RAM should be one of your first things to do.

RAM can be a bitch, or just do the job for years.

I am pretty much lost now and need to sleep

So far it's seems like the ram or motherboard, switching around ram either cause it to freeze during login or fail to load windows showing a error

I am having a hard time to find out which it is

Edit

All slots end up with login freeze, not having any spare mobo, I will take my ram to any random computer place to have them checked for successful boot
