HI! :D ok so a question for all of you with some tech know how. right now I have GTX 770 with 2GB GPU, I want to upgrade but do not know what to do. The main goal would be After Effects and gonna start to learn C4D, but also do some gaming from now and then. I am thinking of getting one more GPU, the same one and making them into SLI, or maybe I should sell this one and get another one with more RAM..... any suggestions?

I would wait for pascal, as you don't need this upgrade asap?

If you don't need the upgrade ASAP, stick around and see what new cards come out. Also make sure your PSU can handle SLI before buying a 2nd 770 (or any other 2 card setup) if that's what you eventually go with

i would always suggest upgreading to one better gpu since sli has so many things that can go wrong like programms not supporting it. That being said if you decide to go for a new gpu i suggest you wait for the next generation to come out since that will be soon... I am doing the same thing right now i have a 680 (so the same card as you do) and i am waiting for pascal to be released. Note that you can still sell a 770 for around 150 bucks or even more depending on the brand and condition...

Aha ok, THX for the tips guys :D I just might wait for the new generation :D Also I think I should ask one more thing, this is my PC now:
i7 4790k, 32 GB of RAM Kingston hyper x Beasts, SSD 256 for win and programs, 2 TB HDD for other stuff, Xigmatek Gia II CPU cooler, and a few other coolers inside of the case, the MSI GTX 770 with 2 GB of RAM,and a Thermaltake power supply of 630 W. All of this on a Gigabyte Z97P-D3 motherboard, I think that is all....... If I upgrade the GPU will I also need to upgrade the power supply or is this one still good?

Yeah I have decided based on the info from here that I will not go a SLI rout, I have my mind set on the MSI GTX 980Ti Lightning or the ASUS GTX 980Ti STRIX. Any taught on these two?

I personally would go for the msi, just because i am using a gtx 680 lightning right now and i like it a lot. But genereally both of the brands are really good and relieable... Note that the STRIX has a silent mode i dont know weather the lightning does, just in case it matters to you ;)

Ok after doing some more research on this card I found out that there is also an MSI GTX 980Ti with only 2 fans. If I understand correctly the Lightning that has 3 fans is more of a overclocking GPU, since I do not overclock, don't know how to do that, will the Lightning be of any benefit to me over the 980Ti with only 2 fans? And does overclocking the Lightning void the warranty?

if you dont overclock get the gtx 980ti msi gaming that is not so much of a beas and a little cheaper. Or get the strix equally as good to be honest. the cooling is adequate even with 2 fans the card is really cool weather you get the msi or strix note though that they are both case exhaust cards so make sure you have some airflow in you case

Can I suggest EVGA? I've used them for multiple different components in my PC and I cannot fault them. Customer support is great and the hardware is amazing. Of course, it is your decision, but EVGA would be my suggestion :D

Yes I was looking into EVGA also since I see a lot of gamers use it. But after looking into it I got more negative results then positive, a lot of people say that it is not a very reliable card, and also a lot of people said that the ASUS cards are not that great, that ASUS has kick-ass motherboards but the brands like Gigabye and MSI are best in GPU-s, the more I look into this the more I get confused...... :P

Cool THX for the help :D Now I just have to get over myself and not get the 3 fans version of which ever card I go for in the end. Because I would take the 3 fan just because of the looks..... :P
