According to this you should be fine, but I would suggest being prepared to purchase another license just in case. Replacing the hdd and CPU as well, that's basically a whole new system by any standard.

Hello.

My pc is currently running a fx4300 with a WD blue and windows 8.1 strandard home user edition. (not an OEM)
I want to upgrade to intel (i5 4690k) this means changing the motherboard and while I am at it I will be putting in a brand new SSD. This means I will need to reinstall windows. Will it be possible to reactive the version I have?

(I know asking microsoft makes more sense than asking this forum, but I do not have a microsoft account, and without one I can not seem to contact them.)
