I'm surprised they don't come in a 2 pack - 5ghz doesn't penetrate buildings very well so you'll want something on both buildings. 5ghz would have the better unobstructed range. Otherwise I don't have a lot of experience with building to building. (if the open field is yours, you could always trench a line)

Assuming this is just for internet sharing, should be good enough. File transfers will be a little painful.

I think they're sold separately for people using point to multi point. The field isn't mine and this is just a temporary connection until I can get Comcast to run lines, my neighbors as well. They're supposedly outdoor safe so it shouldn't need to penetrate anything. They'll be used for some files but mostly camera feed. It's no more than 1000feet so if 2.4ghz can reach that then I have no problem switching from 5ghz

I've actually looking at this one. It might be abit overkill but for the price I think it's still good.
