Hey everyone, I have an issue, I was replacing my thermal paste and stuff went well until a certain point when I tried to reassemble it.

I had everything going well and started up, no screen, it did start up but just no screen.

So I decided to do some reassembling again, and here's where the problem kicked in. I accidently still had my laptop on without knowing to test if it worked, I removed my screen cable and inserted it again, panic arrived around the corner.

Slow beep and smoke, I saw it infront of my eyes and it hurts.

What is my issue? Is my laptop ready for a funeral or is it still repairable? I will go to the repair shop tomorrow so hopefully it actually isn't dead.

My laptop is an Asus N53sv

Thanks

Pule the drive out. If you have another PC plug the drive in and copy over the data that is really important and whatever else you have room for.

If I use words like probably or most likely, it is because I dislike certainty. These words can probably be omitted and the sentence read as a certainty.
