Is this normal?

I5 760 at 3.3 with no oc medium heatsink heres the deal:

I had never ever noticed that before .. when i start folding and it goes very fast at 100%usage the temps for example change like this 43-60, 25-48 , 30-54

It might seem normal to you and me but what i dont understand it why those temperature changes happen in a split second

and when i say split second i mean less than a second

Why so fast i cant accept this...

??

It is indeed normal, anything that puts a high load on a CPU will do this.

Yes it is normal, rendering video at 60c and finishes and lowers to 43c right away when finished rendering

Well i didn't knew or expected that ..

Thas also means that a cpu without heatsink could be fried in less than 2 seconds..

Try to use other software and look if the temp is still doing crazy things , it just may be the sensor , if that is the case it must be replaced because GPUBoost 2.0 relies on the sensor.

ive seen bigger jumps like a 4670k going from 30 to 75....

completely normal

its an intel it would throttle and shut down but not fry

 

my 3930k can change 30°c in 1 sec because its overclocked 32%

Yea my temps shoot right up when I am stress testing and it doesn't slowly increase. If I stop it, the temp drops down instantly.

Check using RealTempGT and see what that says.
