CS:GO fps drops caused by CPU or GPU?

I get random fps drops in CS:GO, sometimes when firing, sometimes when near smoke, and sometimes when there are a lot of players. Also, some maps have lower fps than the others. I get an average of 100+ fps in Dust 2, for example, but only get an average of 70 in Train.

Well, open msiafterburner or something and look which one spikes.

but it's both, in one situation the gpu in another situation it's the cpu. they are both below average.

It's caused by the game............

The performance of a game depends on the hardware. If you are running a decent gaming pc, there should not be frame rate drops on a game like this. The only exception is a badly optimised game.

Looks like its both your cpu and gpu. Those are pretty old hardware.

Thanks captain, it's obviously his CPU and GPU as in a combination.
