Spam the F8 button on startup before the window logo pops up then choose the option "Last Known Good Configuration". The USB ports should start working and try and reinstall the drivers again.

The ports didnt work since I put this processor in today. before today, the computer had been sitting for a month or so.

Just finished my second PC but I go to update my usb controller (using the one from Asus's website) and when I restart, none of my USB ports work. If i don't do the update, only 2 USB 2.0 ports work. Updated BIOS. Ideas?

Win 7, Asus B85M-G R2.0, i7-4790.

Have you installed the chipset drivers? Do that first, then USB.

Also, what OS are you using? It seems the USB drivers only apply to Win 7, which is odd by itself as all the drivers are off the Intel B85 chipset...

If you have installed the chipset drivers try opening Device Manager and finding the "!", then update the drivers online automatically.
