I think it depends on your purpose.

Do you need it for work and gaming? Or gaming only? And need mobile?

For gaming only, I would lean toward a dedicated desktop since you can have much more power.  Of course the big downside is mobility, with so much hardware on your list, it will be very heavy and risk damage if you want to move around too much.

For work and gaming, I would go for the gaming laptop route  Just a quick look between the Asus and Razer, the Asud seems to have bettet value, same price, you can get an Asus with GTX 980m vs Razer GTX 970m.  Better grapgic card will provide better gaming performance.  But the Razer looks much better.

So the biggest point is mobility.  If you like to go to LAN party, I think the gaming laptop is the best, just get an external monitor, mouse and keyboard for better use when you are stationary.

This has gotta be a troll.

That build is literally like throwing wads of cash out the window into a strong wind.

Assuming you're serious, what do you need all that performance for? The build itself could work as the NAS also. You'd definitely want to get a better CPU as well if you want absolute top end, or perhaps consider going X99.

Almost as cool as my temps
