Hey guys,

I was wondering what type of TV would you recommend for gaming. 3D or Curved? YES, I know that TVs are not that great for gaming but I've been gaming on a 1080P TV since 2013 and I want to step it up to 4K. I was just wondering if you would pick up a curved TV or a 3d TV? I've been looking at the Samsung 40ju6500 (curved) and 40ju7000 (3d). I have 3 pairs of polarized 3D Glasses I got from the cinema when I watched Star Wars 7 and I really want to use them...

Thanks.

id go with curved, never used 3d as i found it stupid to wear the glasses. once the technology is there to view 3d withouth shutter glasses im on it.

Neither.

Curved TVs frankly don't make much sense (monitors, sure...but TVs?), and 3D isn't really being utilised properly.

And even if you did get the 3D TV, you wouldn't be able to use the RealD glasses because they create 3D images in different ways.
3D TVs use active shutter lenses to very VERY quickly move between left and right eye. RealD uses circular polarisation to create the 3D effect without it potentially making you ill.

Don't purchase either. 3D TVs are a huge gimic as their is barely any content, and as someone who owned one, you will likely never watch any content in 3D that you have. Curved TVs are also not very good unless you are the only person watching and are centered on the TV, the curving limits the viewing angle and looks bizzare from any angle other then straight on.

I would just go with this variant (same size) with none of the 3D or Curved bs.
