Alienware 13 MiniDP

So, I have a miniDP to DVI adapter that I tried using on my Alienware 13 but I don't get any kind of detection of another display when connected through it. I originally used in on my old Asus G46W (?) and it worked fine. Do Alienware laptops need an active miniDP adapter? I guess it's possible that my adapter could just be broken as I haven't used it in quite a while and I don't have any other device with a miniDP to test it out on.聽

Desktop: i9 11900k, 32GB DDR4, 4060 Ti 8GB 馃檪
