Hey!

Thanks for the suggestion, this is the motherboard that they suggest that will fit, but it turned out to be really expensive at the store i am buying at, and buying at amazon is not an option (they dont ship to where i live apparently, and same goes for other sites like ebay etc...) and the price is gonna be around 330€ (40€ installation because i am a dumbass and cant install a pc:D), and i dont have that high budget and i would like to same some money to like a scooter or something. I looked over some benchmarks on the i5 4460 and it is better than the amd, but is there any other options that has a lower price tag? Thanks!

P.S If anyone else have a suggestion for mobo/cpu, im happy to take them:D

EDIT: I found a comparison and it looks like the fx6300 got better clock speed, but still the i5 got better overall score, whats up with it? Is it coz the 4 core?

Clock speeds are very misleading when comparing different processors, especially from different companies. Each  pair of the 6 cores in the fx6300 amounts to about 1 hyper-threaded core of an intel cpu.... kind of but not really. And due to the age difference and manufacturer differences, the IPC (instructions per clock) is different between the two cpus. Basically, clock speed comparisons between totally different cpus is useless.

The most important aspect of that comparison link is single thread performance, btw, which still matters a lot and you can see that AMD really lags behind intel there.

As far as other options go, yeah that's a pretty high price tag for a low end motherboard like that. Maybe because it's an older board? Did you ask about newer skylake stuff? (An i5 6400 and h170 board might not be too much...)

Is this a brick and mortar store, or an online one? If it's online could you give us a link? Really hard to give suggestions when I don't know what will be available to you and what prices are like at the place you are buying from.

EDIT: Just to make sure, it was the amazon EU sites that you checked for whether or not they will deliver, not the US one right?

Yeah, EU site.

And the site is www.multitronic.fi

Its in Finnish but you can change to English.

So at the 230 Euro price range, you have a tough decision to make. You can go for the fx 6350 rig that you were going to build, and end up with across the board average/subpar performance. It really struggles with basically all new games due to the crappy single-thread performance.

Or, you can do what I would do, and go for a g3258 with this mobo. This will get you quite good performance in some games due to good single-core performance, but any multi-threaded workloads will be REALLY rough. So more of a hit or miss with games, while the fx6350 will be constantly mediocre. It depends on what kind of games you play. If you tell us what kinds of games you usually play, I might be able to help you more.

The main reason to go with the g3258 is with upgrading in mind. Neither of these options will get you great performance today, and both will probably need to be replaced within a few years max. When that time comes, the g3258 can be easily swapped for a 4960k, 4970k, 4460, anything like that, for seriously more performance. The 6350 will only be able to swap with an 8350 or similar, a chip that has the same age problems the 6350 does and isn't much more powerful at all.

EDIT: also, I encourage you to try and swap your motherboard and cpu yourself, and not pay for installation. It's easy to do, and linus has videos on how to do it, or we can help you here.

I usually play CSGO, LoL, Fallout, and some other single player game like AC and I would like to start playing GTA 5.

And I think i can go up to 340€ budget if it gives way better performance, so I think I'll go with the i5 4460 and this motherboard then, because it rounds up about ~300€, also, you think I should get a decent SSD and some more RAM?

P.S I'll try upgrading myself :D

EDIT: Some of my friends have a nice rig with a R9 270x (i think) and this cpu and they get pretty good fps on all the games I play like over 60fps on GTA 5 on high 1080p, and it costs almost the same as the i5 4460, well 20€ more but i can cover it. What do you think?

CSGO and LoL will probably run on anything, but for Fallout and GTA you will definitely want the quad core.

For the motherboard, you will probably want an H97 board, because that H85 board might not support the Haswell-refresh 4460 out of the box and would require a bios update, which would require a seperate cpu, etc. Instead, you would probably want to go with a newer H97 board like This one that is the newer version of the one you posted, or this one that is microATX, if your case supports that.

AS far as RAM and SSD go, you would probably want to upgrade to 8 GB of ram, that's what most games will be comfortable with right now. An SSD is nice but is probably the last concern you should look at, because it doesn't really affect game performance at all, and only sometimes affects load times. It is nice to have in general though, for overall system snappiness.

So your final recommendation is i5 4460 and the MSI H97 and some more RAM?

Maybe you didnt see my edit, so ill just copypaste is here:

Definitely still go with the 4460, the 8350/8370 are competitive with it, but suffer from the same single thread performance problems as the 6300, and the 4460 is a stronger overall chip.
