External HDD does EXTREM WIRED unusual stuff

Hello!

i got an external HDD from Samsung with 390 GB.

When i plug it in this happens:

It does a REALLY WIRED SOUND at the ending of the video, why is this happening?

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Try using another usb port.

It could be a bad cable contact or just dead hdd itself.

would be nice if everyone used EN version of Windows, especially when asking help with errors popping up

anyways, are you pluggin' the HDD in a front USB port or directly into the mobo!?

Pluggin in on the MoBo in USB 2.0 since it does not support 3.0

what do you mean it doesn't support USB 3?!

it doesn't have USB3 or there's some other issue?

it dosent work in the Blue USB Ports

I suspect you don't have the USB3 drivers installed

check Device Manager and see if any devices have a yellow "!" mark - or better yet, post a pic of your device manager with expanded USB controlers

yes, you do have the USB3 drivers installed .. strange
can you test this external HDD on a friend's PC/laptop ?!

Tested it on my mothers LapTop, same issure

nope, it only has a Micro USB connector, i can post a picture of it, give me 2 minutes

It's probably the controller inside of ur external hdd. If you can remove the HDD out of its housing and put it in a new one, it'll probably work. 

Have you tried another cable?

have not tried another cable, didnt got the idea, since its the original cable that came with the HDD

If you wanna go the safe route, get something like that:

If its still failing after u put the hdd into that enclosure, its the hard drives fault.

 

Edit.: Can you post a picture of the bottom side of the Hard drive?

i got a rubber enclosure, there was the same issue with it put on

It's not the enclosures fault, i think. The controller, which converts the hdd's sata port to USB is probably failing.

so underneeth is a normal SATA connector? i could try plugging it in my motherboard with a sata cable if there is a connector
