Hey all, I've been having problems with my pc over the last couple of weeks and I can't seem to find out whats actually wrong with it. Basically, when I turn on my pc I get no display on the monitor. The monitor has been replace and so has the CPU. I've just had an email form scan computers saying that they have tested my graphics card and it has nothing wrong with it (but they are making me pay £20 to get it back, so if you rma a product with them be aware as they do not mention this charge when discussing the rma. im really not happy about this ).

So I am now led to believe that the problem lies in the motherboard. There is a little green light on the motherboard that I think is supposed to mean that it is working ok or is it maybe just saying that it is receiving power? I don't know. So does anyone know if there is a way of testing your motherboard.

If not can anyone maybe help me in working out the solution to the problem.

Thanks :)

This: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/45943-faulty-pci-e-slot/ , reseat it into the 2nd slot, update BIOS, also make sure your GPU is plugged in correctly, the green light means that your MoBo is getting power.

Scan do tell you if they find nothing wrong with the product they will charge you.

Its why I will only buy from Scan if they are the cheapest by far.

You did the RMA over the phone?

Because you are told on the website.

If you did over the phone, you have grounds to complain.
