Desktop Issues | Peripherals Stop Working | Disconnecting

So lately (and especially tonight) my desktop has been acting extremely weird. I've been playing League, and I keep disconnecting, while i still have internet (and i can still hear my gf on skype), but noone hears me. At the same time, my mouse stops working. I also have a separate issue with my monitor's cable not being stuck so it keeps turning off. This is not an issue, since obviously something is wrong with either the cable or the input. The weird thing is that when my monitor goes out, so does my mouse, to the extent that even way after my monitor is back on, my mouse is still not working (nor is it's lights glowing), which I find is weird.

 

Why does my mouse stop working when my monitor stops?

Why does it stop working when I dc?

Why do I even dc like this? I've never experienced it.

Monitor - BenQ GL2460

 

Custom built desktop with GTX titan, i7 3820, usb 3.0 for peripherals, CABLED internet connection.
