My budget is $1350 for the full build.

I'm going to use this PC for gaming and school.

I have no peripherals at all. I only plan to play at 1080p.

I'm tired of gaming on my Mac air and Office desktop soo....

My build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/RHhnYJ

Any recommendations? Thanks.

Very good, I just built a similar rig.

I'd save some money on Windows using *cough* other vendors *cough* and maybe get a different monitor (I remember seeing some NewEgg deals recently)

If you can squeeze a 390 in there, that would be great but a 380x isn't bad for 1080p.

Overall good job :)

Maybe just a me thing, but I had 3 different WiFi solutions from TP link die on me in a year. One of which was the model you listed. Other than that... It is a damn nice PC. I might be tempted to drop the 850 evo for a cheaper ssd, get a cheaper case and push for a 390, but in the end, aesthetics are important too. Also, check with your college, engineers often have access to windows for free, and most colleges give discounts on windows.

This build is really good, including the option to upgrade to a 6700k or similar if u want to.

I think this is a good build for the money, but maybe u could squeeze in a 390 instead of a 380.

Overall im impressed with the bang for the buck concept here :)

wow that is actually one of the most well rounded builds i've seen in a while for the under 1500$ budget. and it's even got the upgrade path for the K series processor.

Thanks for the input. I will try to look for a cheap copy of windows. I was wondering if G2A and getting a copy from Reddit is valid or trustworthy? The prices are really tempting.

As long as you get the copy from s5ean (a mod), you should be fine. I've used them for two builds and they're still both working :)

Be nice to each other boys and girls. And don't cheap out on a power supply.
