First off this is my first post, I not much of a gaming or high end PC enthusiast. However I do a decent amount of video editing..

My current PC has a AMD A10 6700 apu and I have read about adding a GPU to take advantage of crossfire technology. I assume doing this would speed up my video editing which is fine now but of course I would be happy if it went faster!

So is my assumption correct, that this would speed up video editing ability? Is it worth while and if so from my research the best GPU to purchase would be the amd r7 250... I like the price point of that as well its only 100 bucks or so.

Thank you in advance for any help.. I did try to search around the forum a bit before I posted however if this has been covered I apologize and you can just point me to the thread.

Actually, amd officially only supports select dGPUs for dual graphics with an apu, but it DOES work with more powerful ones, for example I have an a6 5400k apu, which officially only supports an HD 6540 dGPU for dual graphics. However, I can also enable dual graphics with my R7 260x dGPU trough the UEFI, it's not supported by amd, but it DOES work. My advice would be to just buy the best dGPU from amd you can get, and try if it works in dual graphics. And if it doesn't you've still got a very nice GPU, that will also speed up your video editing.
