Logitech g930 problems

Go to solution Solved by JustinChann,

Woah i'm having the same problems and i just contacted logitech about it this week. They didn't answer yet but i'll keep you posted if they do!

Could be a driver issue though since it worked fine on w7/8/8.1

http://download01.logitech.com/web/ftp/pub/techsupport/gaming/LGS_8.58.177_x86_Logitech.exe

I downloaded this driver and everything seems to be working fine again. :)

So recently I did a fresh windows 10 install

I downloaded the Logitech Gaming Software Version 8.78

I've had some pretty weird problems

Like the headset would sometimes turn off for no reason

and the thing that I can't seem to fix is that when I skype, the sound from skype is not in 7.1 surround sound

Does anyone have this problem? Or know how to fix it?

Well your first problem is you have a dank gamer headset.

Second, you have charged the headset right? Or is this not an issue of battery life, it's just literally turning off for no reason? If that's the case, the headset might be getting interference from another device, maybe, possibly, perhaps (I am just thinking out loud).

I wouldn't worry about 7.1 audio at all. You have two ears.

This is a problem with the Windows 10 driver. The driver thinks no sound is coming from the headset, so it turns off after the normal idle timer ticks down. Mine did it like every hour on the dot. Every time. Mine does it, both of yours does it.

My g930's have deteriorated pretty badly, they are almost unusable now. Battery life isn't even half what it was brand new. They would frequently disconnect for a few seconds. Let's not talk about the manufacture defect mine had. The USB data wires inside the hockey-puck base station were soldered on backwards. I had to take it apart and resolder them.
