xdeathshot20

i have the asus RT-AC87U 2400 router.  i am trying to get a AC connection on my custom built desktop.  i am using a netgear A6210 AC 1200 USB wifi adapter.  as u can see in the photo i have a N connection.  i dont know how to tell if my router is outputting a AC connection so if someone could please help me i would be happy.  Asus is kinda useless in helping me!!!

If you log into the routers interface you should have it configured so that there is an SSID that runs on 5GHZ only and should be set to 802.11ac, is this what you have?

802.11ac only operates on the 5ghz band
